It is with immense pride and a deep sense of responsibility that I welcome you to Meherpur University—a nascent beacon of higher education rising from the heart of our historic land. The founding of this university marks not merely the creation of another academic institution, but the realization of a long-cherished dream for the people of Meherpur. It stands as a testament to our nation’s enduring commitment to empowering future generations through knowledge, inquiry, and opportunity.

Meherpur, a district inscribed in golden letters in the annals of Bangladesh’s history—where the Proclamation of Independence was first declared—now begins a new chapter. Just as this soil once nurtured the seeds of our national freedom, Meherpur University is poised to cultivate the minds and spirits that will shape our collective future.

Our vision for Meherpur University is to become a premier institution of higher learning that is recognized nationally and respected internationally. As we lay the foundation—both physical and philosophical—we will do so with careful planning, unwavering optimism, and a clear focus on our long-term goals.
